Azul Tasso - Imobiliária SA has recently obtained building permit for an urban plot in central Lisbon, with the Praça Marquês de Pombal at the doorstep, to develop a residential and retail mixed use project. The property is served by excellent road access, especially from the Praça Marquês de Pombal where one finds links to the various Lisbon way-outs, such as the 25 de Abril Bridge, to the south bank of the Tagus by the motorway A2, Lisbon-Cascais motorway (A5), A8 motorway, the IC19 to Sintra and Lisbon North-South road axis. Although the building makes a monolithic impression, the numerous cut-out loggias make it open and inviting, and provide a gentle transition between the noisy city and the private realm. The simple and rigorous detailing is balanced by the use of bricks in the cladding.

Interior finishing favors the use of traditional materials, ceramics, wood and natural stone are combined in a sober palette. Built-in furniture in TOLA wood forms a central core concealing the sliding floor-to-ceiling doors, thus leading to a fluid space surrounded by continuous whitewashed walls.  All apartments are wheelchair accessible (as imposed by the Portuguese code), and the option to unite two adjoining units was anticipated by the architects.
